An antique green glass beer bottle embossed for John Jacks of the Castle Hotel, Oswestry, with a moulded castle motif. The applied mouth, irregularities in the glass, air bubbles and tooling marks are characteristic of late-19th-century bottle production.
John Jacks operated the Castle Hotel in Oswestry before Frank Jackson, whose later bottles continued the Castle Hotel association. Measures approximately 8 inches high. Good antique condition with expected surface wear with no chips or cracks.
