A signed acrylic sculpture by Vasa Mihich, composed of intersecting planes of saturated red, orange, blue and clear acrylic. As light passes through the sculpture, the colours shift, overlap and project onto surrounding surfaces, creating changing optical effects from different viewpoints.

Mihich is a Los Angeles-based artist associated with Southern California’s Light and Space movement and is known for his exploration of colour, transparency and perception through laminated acrylic. A longtime professor of design at UCLA, his work is represented in major public collections including the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Approximately 4 inches high. Signed and dated 2014 on the side. Excellent condition with no chips or damage.
