An antique yellow ware canning jar with a tall cylindrical body, rounded shoulder and flared neck, finished in a warm ochre-yellow glaze. These utilitarian ceramic jars were used for preserving and food storage before glass canning jars became commonplace.

Unmarked. Measures approximately 7½ inches high. Very good antique condition with no chips or cracks.
