A striking ceramic cruet from the Guido Gambone workshop, featuring a boldly abstract hand-painted glaze in teal, citron, cream and chocolate brown. The loose graphic brushwork and contrasting glazes are characteristic of Gambone’s expressive postwar studio ceramics.

The compact rounded form has an integral loop handle and narrow pouring neck. The base is marked Gambone Italy with the characteristic donkey associated with the Gambone workshop.

Measures approximately 4½ inches high. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
